Hi,
I have saved files in version 1389. When I use version 1387 they will not
open. However, they still open in 1389.

Both systems: XP SP2, Office 2003 SP2, NTFS

I was not even aware that there was a version 1387 -- do you know the dates
of these releases?

The logical thing would be to update the older system -- is there a reason
why this is not a solution?

Thanks,
Yes of course that would be a good solution.

Just thinking about this a little -- when say you saved files -- did you
use the "Pack and Go" feature? What that does is gather all the bits into
the file for transport to another system.

What did you see when you attempted to open? Just moving the Producer file
will generally lose all the media bits and make the file unusable.
