Powerpoint slide wont display

HI I've pulished my presentation to my desktop adn all teh files etc are
present but when i click play all I get is the audio but the slide does not
appear and instead there is a message saying internet explorer cannot display
the slide. I am using vista and the latest office software = are they not
compatible? or is it something else? Thanks Amanda
