Echo, I've offered to help Claire with this if the 'standard'
technique doesn't work. I took the presentation on to my old system
and went through it thoroughly. The Mincho font is in the slide
master and I can get rid of it and replace with another font.
Can I be after Steve with the back rub please.
Barry
That's great, Barry. Thanks so much for tackling this one!
How are you able to get rid of the font? (I'm just curious...)

Heh, my sister's a masseuse. Maybe we can work something out. <g>

Process of elimination. I looked at the text on the slides - no
unusual fonts there so I guessed that the problem might be in the
master slide. By sequentially deleting objects from the master and
going back and viewing the file properties, I was able to eventually
find which objects had been created in the Mincho font.
Only trouble is that this problem solving does make my back hurt ...
Barry
Tell me how you can get rid of the Far Eastern fonts w/o having to install
other special fonts and *I'LL* give you the back rub.
Though ... um ... come to think of it ... you might prefer to negotiate with
Echo. ;-)
Guess you didn't see my explanation to Echo. The font was used for an
object on the master. So - remove object and recreate using a
standard 'western' font.
As for your kind offer of a back rub, please visit

and review the pics on that most esteemed site.
Go on, be honest, between you and Echo - no contest.
Barry (one feather but ever hopeful)
Not till later.

So if one were to record all features of the object *except* for the font,
one could almost re-create it via VBA.
Come to think of it, one Brian Reilly already has.
Brian? I think Barry's just found a new excuse for ShapeStyler's existence.
;-)

Darn right!
(I knew she wasn't right for you)

As a fully qualified medic of many years standing, it is my sad duty
to inform you that a visit to your optometrist is long overdue
Barry (all hope of a second feather gone for ever)
<g>
OK. Echo, he's all yours. Do with him what you will. ;-)
BTW, the shapestyler tool works quite nicely for Mincho Removal.
If there's not too much of it to be done, the demo would even get you
through.
Neat.
hehehe. I think he gets another feather just for that. Keep it up,
Barry--you'll soon have a headdress full!

You're gonna add that to the FAQ, right?
Echo
Shapestyles is getting worked over real good now - I think I'll wait till
it's settled down a bit and the next release is ready.
