I formatted each slide in my PowerPoint Presentation to be 3 x 5. I want to
be able to print each slide on a 3 x 5 index card. So I took the following
steps.

File
Page Setup
Custom
Width
5
Height
3
Slides Landscape

However, when I try to print the slides on 3 x 5 index cards, the 3 x 5
index cards are not big enough (only a piece of the 3 x 5 index card gets
printed on and I need to put a 8.5 x 11 piece of paper in the printer to
complete the job).

Can you tell me what I can do differently, so that I can print the 3 x 5
slides from my PowerPoint Presentation onto 3 x 5 index cards?

Thank you for your help.

File, Page Setup tells PPT what size to make the slides.
It doesn't say anything about what size paper to print them on.

For that, you need to go to the print dialog box, choose your printer, click
Properties, then choose 3x5 paper in the printer setup dialog boxes for your
printer.

Also, you may want to experiment with the "Fit to paper" option in PPT's print
dialog box.

Steve, this is not working for me. Can you assist? I’m using a canon MX870 printer. There is no 3x5 size that I can find. When I attempt to use custom size it will not allow me to click inside the sizing blocks.
Thank you
Charles
