I have a PowerPoint presentation that I am viewing in Office 2007. Where
can I find out in the properties or other metadata which will tell me who
was the last person who edited the file, and when? I have found out who
created it under Office button, Prepare, properties, author, but need more
info than that.
There is nothing under Review, Comments, Show markup, and I don't believe
the file date in Explorer is the actual last edit and save date.

When you select Office button, Prepare, Properties menu item, click
"Document Properties" menu and select "Advanced Properties..." menu item.
Were you looking for this dialog box?

For this presentation the only thing that shows up is the original author.
Anything else would have been manually entered by the user.
I'm looking for info the system captures - last modified date, last modified
by whom, maybe even what they modified, etc. Trying to find out who changed
a presentation, and what and when they did it.

Click the downward pointing arrow next to Document Properties and choose
Advanced Properties to get more information (basically, the same document
properties dialog we're used to from 2003 and previous).

But do you have any reason to believe that PPT stores the name of the last
person to edit the file, etc? I've never run into any suggestion or evidence
that it does. Willing to learn though. <g>

Thanks for pointing out this feature. I was hoping for more info but maybe
it isn't there - wishful thinking I guess. I got more info from Windows
Explorer.
