When looking at a Power Point Presentation slide show, I pause a photo that I
want to save. How can I save it to my computer? I right click on the
picture, but there are no saving options. Thank you.

To save the image you will need to be in edit/design view, not slideshow
view. Then right click image and choose 'Save Image'.

Thank you Troy, but how do I get into edit/design view? I looked, I just do
not see it. I click on the saved icon on my desktop, then it opens, then
what?
Thanks.

Hi Troy, me again. I looked again, and I believe I am in the edit mode
because I could edit things if I knew how here. But, there are about 20 files
down the left of the main image in the middle. Over 40 files, some containing
many pictures within them, and of course the photos I am after, are within
those files. When you run your mouse over those files, they flip/scan through
all the images really quickly, and I can ask for a slide show, but not in the
edit mode. How do I get in the files within the edit mode? Thank oyu for
your help!

Hi , ok, This would help, is there a way in edit mode, or otherwise, to
list all the photos in this presentaion, not by slide number & no image, but
show all the images that are there and be able to save the ones you want, or
all of them?? Thanks!

In PPT 2002/2003 you can do this: File > Save As.
In the Save As Type drop down menu, select Web then save to say your desktop
You'll find a folder on your desktop that contains all of the files, now
separated, that are in your PPT pres - including individual images.

It sounds like you may have a bunch of Powerpoint SHOW files.

Try starting off this way:

Start PowerPoint (Start, Programs, Yada, Yada)
From PowerPoint's menu bar, do File, Open
Browse to the folder where your presentations are and choose the one you want
If that opens as a slide show (ie, fills the whole screen with the slide) press
the Esc ket to get back to edit mode.

It may not be of the quality you wish but you could just use Alt-PrtScn to
capture it in memory. Then Paste it into any program that accepts Pastes.
I use PaintShopPro and crop out any portion I don't wish to see and then
save is as a .jpg. If you don't have that you can use Windows Paint. Paste
it there, then use the Select option to enclose just the portions you wish
to keep. Choose Copy then Paste that as the new selection.

Sandy,

Ok. There are 40 plus slides. I am learning. Within each of these slides,
some have numerous photos. Within slide 22, there are several pictures I
want to save. It will pause, but not allow me to save it. It only allows me
to save the opening picture for each slede.

Is there any way to extract all of the photos in the entire presentatoion,
or just extract from each slide- its contents> It has already been saved to
my desktop, but still, the above happens. When in edit mode, I do not know
enough as to how to work with it. Please advise, remember, I know very
little, and thank you so much for any help!! :)
