Mouse click won't work to advance slide (and it's not Kisok related)

I am having trouble with a presenters presentation. For some reason, it
won't respond to mouse clicks. I have checked whether it is in Kiosk mode
and it isn't. I also tried creating a new presentation and inserting all of
the slides in. Still no good. It does respond to "enter" and other keyboard
commands to advance. It also responds to the mouse movement and the menu.

Other presentation on the same system work fine.

Any ideas out there?

Check the Slide Transition settings. The slides are probably set to advance automatically and not
on mouse click. This will create the behavior you describe.

Hi Sonia,

That was exactly what was wrong... well almost. When I went into the
transition dialogue, both features were shut off.

Thanks a lot.

Ah, I didn't test the behavior if *both* were unchecked! Thanks for posting back, Lorne. I'll
remember to be more thorough next time (I hope).

Easiest way is to go to Slide Sorter View and then Edit > Select All, then to Slide Show > Slide
Transition and check the settings. Any that are checked but "grayed out", indicate that they are
set for some, but not all. Just click once or twice until the selection box is empty and a pristine
white. Then check the box(es) that you want to set for all slides and click on "Apply to All".

I should have mentioned that step too. Better late than never. You seem to have done fine, but
thought I would mention it, in case someone else is wondering or trying the same thing.
