Dear all,

I hope I can get some help on this problem ...

- I created a powerpoint file (say, File A)with a
hyperlink to another Office file (say, File B) in the same
directory. Testing the link in 'Slideshow' mode was
successful.
- Then using the IIS as a localhost web server on my PC, I
accessed the powerpoint file using Internet Explorer (by
default in 'Slideshow' mode). The hyperlink no longer work
and a 'File not Found' page was shown!!
- Upon checking on hyperlink mouse-over, the note says
that it is trying to find the File B in the C:\Document
and Setting\User Name\...\Temporary Internet File
directory, instead of in the original directory.

FYI, I use Powerpoint 2000 SR-1 Ver 9 & Internet Explorer
ver 5.50 running on Win2K

Can anybody tell me what might be causing this problem and
how to work around it? Thank you.

Cheers,
Baffled

Check in powerpoint the web options selection that update
under files, that the update links on save is not checked.
