Hi. In my PPT 2007, part of Office Standard, quite a few of the animation
effects are greyed out (especially in the "emphasis" category.
Would you be able to tell me how to activate these? Thanks.

Some effects only apply to text or shapes with text. No text and they will be
greyed out.

That's a bummer. Animating objects is much more fun than animating just
text. Knowing this, I will try to add text - maybe just a "." to see if that
works.

Try this then...
Add some text to a shape (any text) and say add Swish or Flip (not possible
with no text)
Now simply delete the text!
Yep animation still works.

my google slides animation bar is greyed out, no clue why!
