Hi Group,

Is there a way to adjust the desired indent between the
bullet and text in PPT97, similar to Word97 ? Tried going
into Format/Bullets after selecting the text, but there
are apparently no options provided. The default setting is
usually too tight (ie the spacing between text/bullet is
too close).

TIA
max

Max,

To finely adjust the space between the bullet point and the text

Sometimes you just cannot get the spacing just right between the bullet point
and the text. And when you adjust it, it's either just too much or too little.

To adjust it finely:
1) Turn the ruler on, by selecting the "View" menu
2) Make sure there is a tick next to "Ruler" to display the ruler
3) Select the text object that you want to adjust
3) Now move the lower part of the paragraph indentation. It's called the
"Left Indent". It looks like a small house. But to adjust it finely. . . .
Press and hold the CTRL key while moving the paragraph spacer on the ruler

Cheers

And Max, you can use View/Master to change this on all slides in your
presentation. You don't have to do each individually.

Thanks, Echo. One Q though. I find that I need to adjust
individually for text pasted over from Word / typed into
textboxes and then bulleted in PPT via Format/Bullet.
cheers.

For regular textboxes, yes, you'd have to do that individually. I think the
Format Painter might help speed things up there, though. Set one and format
paint your way through the rest of the presentation.
