Ever since Windows 7 has been installed on my PC the following problem occurs
in PPT2003: when I select an object or text box on a slide by clicking it or
clicking it while holding Shift, the object or text box changes its position
and snaps to a guideline, even though Snap to Grid has been unchecked. The
only way we have found to resolve this, is to also uncheck Display Drawing
Guides on Screen, but I need those! This problem did not occur when working
with PPT2003 under Windows XP.

Hi

I don't have 2003 on my Windows 7 machine but you could try these:

Locate the POWERPNT.EXE file (ProgramFiles/Microsoft Office/Office 11??)
Right click > Properties

In Compatability try Run in Compat mode for XP SP3

If this fails try ticking "Disable Desktop Composition" NB this will affect
display a little

Thanks for your quick reply, John. However, I tried both methods but am still
confronted with the happy snapper ...
