I have read online that the app reportedly will not install if the proper Realtek drivers aren't loaded. I however, can confirm that my onboard audio has been properly installed with the following entry in the device manager under Sound, video and game controllers:
download realtek audio control windows 11
Download File

So is there another way to regain this functionality? Is there something like what's suggested in this other question?Unmute audio input (microphone) in OSX programaticallyBasically some command to unmute the direct monitoring of the Line In audio input on Windows, or maybe an app that controls the drivers?Realtek audio console doesn't provide this option :(
I just had the same problem, but it's not because of the driver. The culprit is the new realtek audio control which has removed the lever for audio monitoring level. You have to use an old version of realtek control panel to make it work. For example try downloading audio drivers for this motherboard it and look for the file RAVCpl64.exe under the Vista64 folder.
Hi i have a problem with the realtek audio control, it won't show up EQ and enviroment settings and because of that i can't use my 5.1 speakers. Even tho the 5.1 speaker setting show up they dont work without setting the enviroment setting to "room". DTS doesnt even show me any settings ,SS3 and Radar don't help at all ,before i had a z390-F and every time i uninstalled all 3 and the settings showed up in the realtek audio control app .I already reinstalled the drivers 10 times , reinstalled windows 2 times and still won't work. Already followed a lot of other "guides" that other people posted but none of them helped so at this point i dont know what to do please help.
so there is no way to make it look like this? because that's how it its designed for this motherboard? because on the z390-F when i was uninstalling the SS3 the settings went back by default to the realtek audio control and now it doesnt.
also even with SS3 having the surround box checked i still get no sound from the rear speakers even tho its set for 5.1 and if i test the rear speakers using the windows/realtek audio control you can hear the test sound but nothing else when playing, watching videos or listening to music
I have an OMEN HP notebook, and I've been trying to change my audio controller from the Bang & Olufsen one that comes with the notebook to the Realtek HD Audio Manager. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Realtek drivers, disabling the Realtek High Definition Audio at the Device Manager but nothing seems to work.
No, it's not exactly the audio driver, it's just the audio controller/manager. The driver I presume to be the same, the Realtek one, but I want the Realtek HD Audio Manager instead of the Bang & Olufsen Audio Control (as shown in the pictures I posted).
The reason is because Realtek HD Audio Manager is much better than Bang & Olufsen's, has way more options to better equalize your audio. I'm not facing any issues with my audio, I just want to change the audio manager/controller and I just cannot find a way to do it.
You can use an in-line volume control with the headphones. My Latitude with IDT audio does not have the headphone volume problem that many of the Realtek laptops have, but I use a Koss control just because it is convenient. It is a short extension cable for headphone with a volume attenuation slider built in.
My daughter's Compaq laptop has a real Realtek Audio Manager but it has far fewer settings than the one in your screen shot which is from a desktop computer. You have many of the same controls in the Windows Sound properties, and most audio applications have similar eq functions. I think the main use of the Audio Manager (Dell or Realtek) on Dell laptops is to control WavesMaxx audio. I don't know if your laptop model has that feature, but if it does it is only installed along with the Realtek driver, not the native driver, and its controls are all in the manager.
So I've installed the latest Realtek audio drivers for my motherboard directly from Gigabyte's website.-Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite-Driver version: 6.0.1.8586And I can't find the HD Audio Manager application in my control panel. It should probably look something like this:
I read that Realtek may have removed the HD Audio Manager Application from the latest driver versions, but I'm not certain. Any idea if It's still possible to use this application? It even says in my motherboard manual: "To enable or configure the audio amplifying function for the line out jack, access the HD audio manager application."
it would have to come from the mobo driver package if windows store doesnt work. thing you have to remember....the realtek driver hasnt had a update since 2017...only time you see an update is from mobo sites
Curious about the reason? The ALSA drivers don't support microphones for my soundcard (Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 VX). Also, It does not handle audio output quite well. I have issues. Also, I'd really like some software like the windows-only "Realtek Audio Manager" that does effects to the audio such as echoes and so on.
I recently installed Windows 8.1 on my Macbook Pro, late 2011 model and ran the Bootcamp software. Everything works great except there is no audio playing at all, I have an X mark on the volume control, troubleshooting results in a 'A recent hardware might have not been detected' I have no Sound, video and gaming controllers' in the Device Manager, there is 'High Definition Audio Controller' in the Device Settings, though has a warning sign on it, I checked it and tried to update the driver but it says that it's the latest one installed. I had tried to re-run the Bootcamp drivers software and downloaded the Realtek audio drivers from the internet, but it still not working, though a Realtek High Definition Audio driver is now detected in the Device Manager, but not working, it has an warning sign too, When I try to run the troubleshooter it says that Realtek High Definition Audio has a driver problem.
I am having the same annoying issue on my early 2011 macbook pro. I ran the bootcamp and realtek drivers, I even ran the cirrus drivers. I went to my cloned image of my windows 7 bootcamp install and tried to swap the driver files by hand and that did nothing except fixed a screen brightness issue. After installing windows 8.1 twice I have had no luck. Thanks Mr.Cook.
