I have PowerPoint 7. I prepare slides for client presentations. I also
compose Notes for each slide. The slides and notes go through several
iterations, so when I give the slides back to the client for finalization,
the client wants to see what changes I've made. Although there is a button
'Show Markup' the button is grayed-out so I can't select it. It may be that
this applies only to the comments, rather than to the notes section of the
slide.

Is there any way to track changes on PPT slides?

Unfortunately, PowerPoint doesn't include revision tracking the way Word does.

A series of inserted comments might be one way, but it'd require each person
who edits the presentation to be quite disciplined about commenting any
changes. Probably not too practical.

I'm trying to remember whether 2007 has the Merge presentations feature. That
might be good enough to do the job.
