Slide flickering on Slide show?

Hi All
We made the slideshow window (while running slideshow) look like windows
application where there is a Top Panel, Left Panel and Bottom Panel.

The top panel is used for displaying some information like file name and
total transition duration.

The left panel is used for displaying three options, one is list of slide
for navigation, the second is thumbnails for navigation and the third is for
searching content of slide and navigate using the result.

The bottom panel is used for displaying some command button for navigation
to First, Previous, Next, Last, Play/Pause and Stop.

All this controls which we added get flickered when we run the slideshow and
slide transition occurs.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Have you turned on your hardware graphics acceleration? If not, within PPT,
go to "Slide Show", then to "Setup Show" and click the button "Performance:
Use hardware graphics acceleration"...this should help.

As SpecialK suggests, try turning hardware acceleration on or off, depending
on which it is now. Also have a look at it within your window settings - see

Hi friends,

Thanks for the reply. The controls which we are talking about is not just
powerpoint controls like shapes or images. But it is VBA (Visual Basic for
Application) controls like ListBox, TextBox, Label, CommandButton etc. The
normal powerpoint controls like Shapes does not flickers at all. We are not
sure how to handle this, the suggestion you have given seems not working....
