East Asian fonts in PowerPoint

Somehow the East Asian font "SimSun" is in my
presentations and it cannot be removed. I cannot perform
a "replace fonts." I cannot use "save options"
under "save as." I think I have exhausted all of my
possibilities. Any suggestions?
