Try using "File", "Send to", "Microsoft Word". You have a lot more options
that way.

my two-slide handouts have huge margins and the slides are so small...I want
to make the slides bigger on the page. Is there any way to do that? Thanks!

You are right, there is no direct option to send two slides to a page.
However, if you send the slides in any multiple slide to a page format, Word
will generate a table which you can then adapt and change to your desired
size and configuration. (including number of slides per page, margins, etc.)
