I am attempting to 'insert' several mpeg 1 clips as part of a presentation.
These clips were created from a DVD camera file.
I have checked that the file type is 'associated' with 'Windows Media
Player' but I cannot get these files to play.
I CAN see a thumbnail image in the 'placeholder' location.
It is my hope that these clips can be 'autoplayed' either on click or 'after
the last action'.

Am I missing something obvious?

Looks like i've managed to resolve this myself.
I converted the .mpg files to .wmv files and voila!
It all seems to work now.

Thanks anyway.

I converted the .mpg files to .wmv and suddenly they work.
Why the .mpg files were a problem I don't know but I guess it doesn't really
matter now.

Thanks anyway

You have done exactly the correct thing when you converted the mpeg file to
wmv. WMV files do generally work flawlessly on any Windows computer while
not all MPG files will as PPT uses a different player from within the
program than Windows Media Player.
