Why is it that when I save a presentation as a ppt Show it
still opens up in the Ppt program? What step am I missing
to have the show open up in the viewer?

It is a .pps file but when it's clicked it opens up the
Ppt program, not the viewer.

Okey...go to your MS WIN folder window, click view > folder options...find
the .pps format, click on edit and make sure you only have SHOW and PRINT.

Well, I went to my MS Windows folder, found folder options
under Tools but there is no .pps format in there. So, I'm
still in the dark. Which isn't unusual! Thanks anyway.

There's no PPS under file types in the folder options?

Which version of Windows? ISTR that the file types are located in
different places depending on which flavor you're using.

On WinXP, for instance, I have to open Windows Explorer (to any folder,
actually) and go to Tools/Folder Options and then to the File Types tab.

Did you look at the FileTypes tab?

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, had to leave for a bit.

I found what Gus was talking about and changed it. Thank-
you Gus, Steve & Echo. It works.
