Office XP Slow Starts

Dear experts,

After re-installing Office XP due to a system crash, I
noticed that Word, Excel and Powerpoint start veeeery
slowly. Especially Powerpoint is driving me nuts, since it
displays at the beginning the Windows Installer, then
tells me to wait "while Microsoft Office with Frontpage is
installed" and system gathers information, then Powerpoint
starts up. It takes up to 20 seconds. Word and Excel do no
t display these messages but they do not start until 20
seconds either.

I uninstalled and re-installed OfficeXP to a different
directory but got no improvement.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried clearing your Temp and Temporary Internet folders in the
windows directory?
