I would like to take a gif file that is 75 x 75 pixels and tile it
proportionally for the entire slide background of my presentation. I'm
guessing this is done with some shareware program or a heavy duty
program like PhotoShop 5.5., which I have collecting dust on my hard
drive.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Background
Fill Effects
Texture
Browse to add your own.

It should tile automatically.

I thought this too, but tested it first to be sure. I use FP2000 and it
does not tile. I also explored MS Image Composer and MS Photo Draw and
could not find this capability. Photoshop has an easy to use Edit>Define
Pattern and Floodfill with Pattern that would do the trick in a flash!
Paint Shop Pro has an equally easy to use function.

It works in PPT and Word, though, Sonia.

got it now. I think I've erased "picture" out of my mind. Thanks for
waking me up!!
