Hi All,

Is there a way to set up settings in Slide Master for charts and graphs? For
instance, I'd like the color of the lines for the X and Y axes, and the font
colors in the charts, to be white, not black, across the presentation, and I
can't seem to figure out how to do this.

Thanks

Generally speaking, graphs in PPT will pick up colors from the slide
color scheme.

You can tweak the settings and specify a chart as the default chart type
under Chart Type in MS Graph (check under the user-defined tab). But
this is a machine-specific, not a presentation-specific, setting, so it
won't travel with the presentation.

Probably the easiest thing to do is to create a graph the way you want
it and put it on a hidden slide in the back of the presentation. Then
just copy that slide to use as a basis for creating new graphs by just
inputting new data.

Wish there were a better way.

Oh, wait! You can create a "default graph" complete with colors, etc.,
in Excel. Keep that spreadsheet open, and on new Excel graphs, you can
use the color scheme from that "default graph." It's under
Tools/Options/Color, Copy Colors From. The pulldown box there lets you
specify any other open workbook.

Still wish there were a better way, though. :-)

Has this been resolved by Microsoft?? I'm a researcher designing a report, and the auto-exported charts from the tool I use are not aligned to brand or readability requirements (ex: I want to add data labels to all 200 charts the tool exports to PPT)

Help?
