Paul, check the presentation in B/W view. Then head to the master slide
(View/Master). Right-click on the background and select B/W settings.
You'll want white or "don't show."
You might also check out what happens if you print Pure Black and White
as opposed to Greyscale. That might just be enough to do what you want.
And just so you don't think you're losing it or anything <g>, I think
the background graphic printing changed a little from PPT 97 to 2000.
ISTR having to work through this when PPT 2000 first came out.
