file too large when emailing

I use Powerpoint 2003 to save photographs in a presentation for business
purposes. When emailing these presentations as an attacment (I use Lotus
Notes 6.5), the file is so large it takes very long to send and just as long
for our clients to open. Is there a way too change the way Powerpoint saves
photographs (i.e., jpeg rather than bitmap...I don't know how they are
actually saved)? Basically, looking for a way to email my presentations that
doesn't take so long to send or open.

Normally JPG or PNG is the best format. More than likely the resolution and
image file size of your pictures are WAY too big. Check out this link for
