Hi,

I'm working with PPT XP. I have to create a table of
contents and need dot leaders (the little dots that are
between a table of contents line and the number.

Just using periods or dashes won't work as the numbers
then don't line up on the left side.

Any ideas on how to do this? It ought to be simple!!

Pat,

I'm pretty sure that this is not a feature in powerpoint. The only way I
know how to fake it is to insert "tabs" (view ruler, to set/see the tabs).
Then manually insert the dots before the tab. That way the table data will
line up.

This question was asked a couple of weeks back...try searching on
http://groups.google.com you may find another solution

Yes, TAJ, at that time I suggested one way was to set up the tab (or any
other key combo) in AutoFormat to equal the needed string of periods/dots.
My preference would be something like t+, which is not a likely key combo
that you might accidentally use.
