Hi,
I've got a nice presentation with an even nicer background image. Now I like
to paste it onto my templates master.
How do I get access to this graphic?
Thanks
Elmar

Hi Elmar,

If you go to File - Save As, you have the option of saving your slide as
a Presentation Template (.pot). Choose this option, give your background
a name and then find the folder which contains PowerPoint's templates
(try Programme Files - M.Office - Templates - Presentation Designs.)
Save it here if you want it with PowerPoint's other templates or just
start a new folder of your own designs. Regards, Chris Littler

in powerpoint click "view"
"master" "slide master"
this is where most nice backgrounds images are kept.
click it, if you get 8 little boxes appear around the image
click "edit" "copy"

load your template master
in powerpoint click "view"
"master" "slide master"
Click "edit" "paste"
click "draw" "order" "send to back"

if the image is not on the slide master, it's probably added as a background
picture
in which case you'll have to go down the screengrab route

create a blank slide
display the slideshow
press and hold the "alt" key
press "print screen" key
load your template master
in powerpoint click "view"
"master" "slide master"
Click "edit" "paste"
click "draw" "order" "send to back"

Cheers
TAJ

Thanks,
my image really is a background picture. If I use the screengrab technique I
only get the resolution of my PC while the image has been produced in a
higher resolution.

But at least I get the image with more than 256 colors, which doesn't work
if I try to use the JPEG filter with "Save as".

Elmar, increase the size proportionately, then do the Save As JPG. You can then
pop that resulting image into a new presentation, drag it down to fit and save
that as a template.

You should get more than 256 colors exporting as JPG. You could also try other
image formats--PNG is another favorite.

There is information on increasing the size (resolution) of images in the manner
described above at http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq You might want to breeze
through there once.
