I'd like to have "consumer report" type circles for a presentations I'm
doing. I can't find anything in clip art or from 3rd parties.

any advice on how to, or where to look?

Thanks,

bob

It is absolutely counter-intuitive, but ...

Use the Block Arc autoshape (on the draw menu under basic shapes). Then
grab the adjustment handle (little yellow square do-flingy) and move it to
create your semi-circle.
