missing drawing toolbar

The Drawing toolbar is missing from the screen, although it says that
it is active in the toolbar menu.

I have dragged the other toolbars around to see if it was hiding, but
no joy.

Have also reinstalled Powerpoint, but that hasn't helped.

Any ideas?

By any chance, are you in outline view( ppt97) or in slide sorter view?
If so, the drawing toolbar will not show in those views. Go to either
normal(PPT2000) or slide view(PPT97) and see if it shows up.

Hello

Unfortunately, this is just in normal slide view, and the toolbar is
still missing.

I've moved all the toolbars about in case it was "hiding" which is
something we normally get with the Word users, but the person using
Powerpoint is an advanced user, and should know what they're doing.
But its definitely gone!!

Hm. Might try reregistering PPT. To quote from a recent post from Kathy:

Go to Start, Run and type
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Powerpnt.exe" /regserver
(include quotes and make sure the path matches your setup)

Denise,

If it is happening in normal view, you may want to reset the toolbars
back to default, you will lose any customizations tho.
Look for a .pcb file, rename it to .old, then start ppt, it will
rebuild the toolbars back to default state.

I'm coming in after the cartoon and newsreel here, so forgive any
restatements of the obvious, but ...

Rightclick on any toolbar and make sure there's a checkmark next to the
Drawing toolbar item.
