I have for the first time just down loaded some "video" clips from Clip
Gallery Live to my surprise they do not want to be animated when I double
click on them after placing them in a presentation. Why? Can any one help?

I think you have to set the animation appropriately.in Custom Animation.

How di you get to the Gallery? I can't seem to get there! I get to a page
saying that it has moved and that's it.

You probably need to go to "slide view", click on the animation, right-click,
choose "custom animation", click "timing" tab, then in the box that says "start
animation", make sure "animate" radio button is clicked.
