There is a very nice ActiveX control (axpub.exe) that can be embedded in a
web page called the Microsoft PowerPoint Animation Viewer. It really works
great, but I have not found ANY support on the product. We love the way it
handles the graphics on the presentation, but we need to be able to script
the presentation. If ANYONE knows of a way to 1) tell it to ignore the user
(mouse or keyboard input) and 2) tell it to go to the next slide through
JavaScript, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I have tried about everything I know how to
do with no success.

The worst is that I even did a TypeLibrary conversion and found that there
is a COM interface to a Next function, but I can't figure out how to access
it (I'm not a COM expert yet) Right now, we have to use low-detail GIF/PNG
images, and they still come out at 6-10k per slide; the ppz file that the
animation viewer uses is far smaller (only 6k for a 3 slide demo I tried),
and the result is FAR better looking. We are interested in size because we
are streaming media (video and audio) along with the slides, and the
presentation has pseudo-animations that need to be loaded rapid-fire. If we
could put the player on our page and allow the script to control it (using
script commands from Media Player) we would be very happy.

THANX!
