I work for a school that loops a powerpoint presentation to all of the
classroom monitors during the school day. We want to embed a live clock
into the program. We currently place a video camera on a live clock in our
studio and adjust the slider on our digital mixer allowing space on the
screen for the clock. However, it seems to me that we should be able to
somehow embed a clock into our presentation. Any ideas or suggestions.
Thanks, Terry Taucher

Terry,

Use the AutoDateTime addin available at http://officerone.tripod.com/
(Addins Section). It will enable you to insert a live digital clock - full
with date/time in the presentation. It also enables you to format clock in
all the variety of ways allowed by PowerPoint.

I downloaded this add-in and followed all the instructions to the
letter, however the add-in does not show up in the "available add-in"
dialog box.

Did I miss something?

TIA

You need to check the macro security settings. If you have the macro
security settings set to high, turn them to medium and then install the
addins. Select "Tools" | "Macro" | "Security". In the "Security Level" tab
select "Medium".
