Hello. Over three years later, but selfsame problem. Did you get your
question answered? Is there a maximum size for GIFs? I know the one I'm
having trouble with is rather sizeable...

Hi,

There is no maximum size limit I know of. However, that was a problem in
earlier versions of 2002 that saw an animated gif run once, instead of
looping (mis-reading information in the file header). It was, as far as I
know, fixed in a later service pack.
