I have two small .avi files I would like to add to my power point 2007
presentation. The problem is that there is some sensitive information at the
very top of the movies that I would like to omit from the presentation.

I can crop the movie image while working on the presentation, but when I
play the presentation, the movie is simply compressed to that size, leaving
the sensitive information visible. I have also tried to block the
information with an object, but again, when I click on the movie during the
presentation to start and stop, the movie comes forward, leaving the
information visible.

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Jeff, cropping & trimming videos is a new feature of ppt 2010. overlaying a box will not work as in ppt 2007 & 2003 videos are displayed at the front of all other layers.

the Beta version of 2010 is available however i would recommend loading that on to a non essential computer to stay safe.
or cropping the video in a video editing package.

good luck.
