Is there a way to insert images to auto fit the whole slide?

Hello,

When I open a blank slide and insert a picture from a file, I have
to find a corner of the image and then click and drag the corner to
reduce it's size (shrinking) until it fits the slide on all sides. Most
of my images (digital) are about 400-500 kbs.

I wish the images would insert and fit the slide automatically
since it is so time consuming to resize each and every one, especially
if you have lots to do!

Thanks for any and all help and advise,
Cat

You should try the Image Importer Wizard at http://www.mvps.org/skp/ .
It'll save you tons of time and frustration! Lets you size the image any
old way you want, etc. Take a good look at it. It's very elegant and a
great tool to have in your "stash" of handy wonders!

Sonia,

I tried this software and it seems to do the trick except: I could
not Import the images to a selected format of a slide (Title and Body)
in such a way that the insert always is placed under the title or logo
or more generally, in an Image allocated space.

The Image Importer Wizard is best used to build your basic slides first.
Then you can easily format the slide layout and add Titles once the images
are imported. If you have thoughts and wishes for enhancements to the
software, please write to the author (Shyam Pillai) for his future
consideration.

ZR,
You can set the position of the images to be placed at a particular location
by manually setting, the position of the imported images, by providing the
top and left co-ordinates (Step 2). By default it will always center the
image on the slide.

I think he means the Z order, though, Shyam.
But I thought there was an option for that as well.
(If not, consider it a feature request? <g>)
