In the slide sorter view, the slide number has a gray box around it with a
slash going through the slide number. What does this mean? Power Point
2000.

Thanks,
Linda

It means that it is a hidden slide.

Thanks! How in the world did that happen? Someone must have clicked
something.

Yes it is! You can use it for a number of situations. If you want to have
emergency slides available is one. For example, you want to be prepared in
case someone asks for detailed statistics. You can have them on a hidden
slide at the end of the presentation. Just type 999 (or whatever the slide#
is), press Enter and it's magic. Be sure to include a link to "last slide
viewed". You can do that by making a rectangle the full size of the slide.
Apply the link and then give the rectangle no fill and no line. Now a click
on any spot of the slide gets you back. Now you can get to the hidden slide
from any slide in your presentation and also get back to where you were.

Thanks again, Sonia. This is a great program for a group to work with. We
have several kids working on the presentation. Some edit and plan the
slides and the others type, and create the images..then it's back to the
editors. The creators think the typists are getting the hard part....LOL
They apologize when they need to move a slide from one position to another.
Our team just smiles and says, yes we can do that...
