Hey Jeff,

We started with catalog sales; moved on to selling via the web; and now are
opening retail stores. The catalog, web sales, warehousing run off another
system which "talks" to RMS (two way communication). We'd like to sell/redeem
gift cards at any/all of our sales channels. I am looking for a solution that
would perhaps extract voucher information to a file for populating the other
system and, in return, takes information from the other systems and populates
RMS. Not the best way to do this but this is what I am challenged with doing.

Any thoughts?

Luminox,

Then you might try Givex www.givex.com as there is nothing stored on the local system as I remember, everything in done over the Internet.  They do have an add-on for RMS and may be able to handle this situation for you.

try Smart-Transactions and possibly consider EVT Retail as well.
That's what we're using now.
We use EVT to pass along the gift card activation/redemption to Smart
Transactions. EVT also has a Loyalty and Rewards programs. It also includes
mailing lists and groups by customer interests.

It can use custom POS buttons, or a url in a website.

My company has 13 Retail locations and a website and we've been using this
combination for about 6 months now.

Kosmos Central (http://www.kosmoscentral.com) has a Gift Card Payment
Gateway solution that works with New West Techs Web Integrator and
X-Cart allowing for two way communication. It will allow online buyers
to purchase a gift card directly from the site. When received by RMS
and shipped out by the store, the receiver of the gift card can then go
directly to the online retail store and make a purchase, just like
using a credit card.

Custom Gift Card integration gateways are also available too.

For more information about Kosmos Central Gift Card Services please go

Hi Liminox,

We have a multi-store gift card application that interacts with POS through
a web service hosted on a server at HQ; this could easily be made to interact
with a web site or a tool that you might want to use to import/export gift
card activity.

Let us know if you're interested;
