I am not familiar with the specific devices but here are 2 things to check;
1. Most older wands & scanners have a separate decoder box that goes between
the scanner and the PC, as opposed to having a built-in decoder.
2. You are dealing with a serial device. You may have to program the proper
parameters for baud rate, parity and stop bits - usually done by scanning
some programming bar codes.
