Someone gave me a PC-WAND Model PW110 and a Symbol Spark barcode model
LS1000-I000 Serial. I am having no luck getting them to work. Anybody have
any experience with these devices. Wanted to get a second barcode scanner
setup for inventory taking time. It is only used for a few days each year.

Dan,

I am not familiar with the specific devices but here are 2 things to check;

1. Most older wands & scanners have a separate decoder box that goes between
the scanner and the PC, as opposed to having a built-in decoder.
2. You are dealing with a serial device. You may have to program the proper
parameters for baud rate, parity and stop bits - usually done by scanning
some programming bar codes.

Thanks - Been trying to find a manual on Unitech PC-Wand PW110 and Symbol
Spark LS1000-I000 but with no luck. Anybody know where I can find these - so
I can get this unit working. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dude!
Are you kidding? What a piece of crap!
Do yourself a favor and go on the web and get a metrologic 9520 usb for like
$120!
Plug it in and voila!
Really.

Thanks, I love to recycle and get things working.... I also have a
Metrologic and it was a pleasure to install and use. Was hoping that I
could give this old scanner a job during inventory taking time.

So you can consider this a challenge to the forum.
