Since I sometimes bring my laptop home, I purchased a USB "charging and
sync" cable on eBay for about $10. I figured that this would let me sync my
iPaq no different than if I was sitting at the office since it is the same
laptop hooked to the same iPaq, both through a USB connection. So the only
real difference is that at work the cradle is hooked to the USB port on the
docking station and when I am at home I have the USB "charging and sync"
cable hooked directly to the laptop through the USB port.
For some reason, when I have my laptop at home I can not sync. It seems to
charge the battery just fine, but ActiveSync will not recognize the iPaq.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance - I have gotten some great help from this group over the
last couple of days on my other posts!

Does it work fine with the cradle rather than the "charge ans sync"
cable? You may want to try this at work.
