I cannot seem to be able to attach contact info to a mail message. I
get requested all the time, "can you send me their info" or "can you
send me your info", but I can't attach a contact. How is this done in
Windows Mobile 6.1?

I'll step in only because no one else has, with the disclaimer I'm using 6.0,
not 6.1, so none of this might apply!

The only way I can send a contact via e-mail is by initiating this from the
Contacts app, not e-mail. Selecting the desired contact by tap-n-hold
brings up a menu giving me a bunch of options including "sending" it by
beam or by messages (e-mail.)

Good to know.

Can you post an example of the text formatting in the email... i.e. is
it actually in vcard format?

Ack! I spoke too soon! It's not bringing up the Messaging account picker,
and is trying to send it via SMS, not email. When I saw the send messaging
option separate from "Send as vCard" (which sends vis MMS only) I assumed I
could choose the account.

Well, we know what happens when you ass u me...

Sorry to get the OP's (and your) hopes up...

Thank you. When I press and hold on a contact, it just offers me an
option to Beam. But I don't get the option to email at all. I don't
need to do the actual vCard, I was using that as an example.

A problem of having WinMo "customized" for every device is that it's hard to
know what features are part of the OS, a "value add" by the device
manufacturer, the carrier, or even by third-party software! The Beam by
Message option on my device could've easily been added by HTC (or even AT&T
to drum up MMS charges!)

Sorry I wasn't able to be more helpful!

Thanks anyway. Maybe I'll see if there is some freeware to do it.
