Anyone can assist how to disable the GPRS connect automatically? As my
Telco charge the GPRS per KB basic, I would like to perform manual
connection of GPRS.
Thanks.

I suggest that now you re-activate the applications one by one, and wait a
little between one and another. At the moment it begins doing it again, you
have found who is doing it.

Just got my gprs connection going yesterday and have the same need.
One thought is to blank the "password" in the connection so that it
would fail until the password was entered.

OK, think I have a working solution to this need.
The following is on a PDA2K and the utilities that are included on that
device... I assume other GPRS phones will have similar utilities if not
this one, but, if not, the options exist under connections.
Assuming you have a working GPRS "connection"
start/programs/wirelessmanager
connections
add a new connection
name it "NoConnect"
Select Cellular (GPRS)
Leave all entries blank or fill in bogus values
Select "Manage existing connections"
Select anything other than "Auto Pick"
tap OK, OK
Back in "Wireless Manger," the GPRS button now has a pulldown that will
offer your existing GPRS connection plus the new "NoConnect" entry.
To disable automatic gprs connections, select "NoConnect" When
"NoConnect" is selected, an attempt will be made, but it will fail.
To re-enable GPRS, select your working connection setting in this pulldown.
Final note... consider assigning "Wireless Manager to one of the
hardware buttons... it's onscreen buttons are finger friendly and while
the "pulldown" selections are not, open them with a finger press and use
the joybutton to scroll and select the one you want.

To correct one mistaken assumption that I uncovered while testing this
yesterday!
The GPRS "pulldown" within Wireless Manager _DOES NOT_ reset the default
connection.
It is necessary to go to connections/manage_existing... to set
"NoConnect" as the default connection.
This works out better as you can use Wireless Manager and the GPRS
pulldown to select the working GPRS Connection, and then terminate the
session with the Wireless Manager GPRS "button"
Even if the working connection shows in the pulldown, on the next
automatic attempt, the connection attempt will revert to "NoConnect" and
fail.
=====Revised Steps======
The following is on a PDA2K and the utilities that are included on that
device... I assume other GPRS phones will have similar utilities if not
this one, but, if not, the options exist under connections.
Assuming you already have a working GPRS "connection"
start/programs/wirelessmanager
connections
add a new connection
name it "NoConnect"
Select Cellular (GPRS)
Leave all entries blank or fill in bogus values
Select "Manage existing connections"
_Select "NoConnect"_
tap OK, OK
The above disables automatic gprs connections. When "NoConnect" is set
as the default connection, automatic attempts will be made, but they
will fail.
Back in "Wireless Manger," the GPRS button now has a pulldown that will
offer your existing GPRS connection plus the new "NoConnect" entry.
To re-enable GPRS, select your working connection setting in this
pulldown. Making a connection using Wireless Manager does not change
the default connection selection.
Final note... consider assigning "Wireless Manager to one of the
hardware buttons... it's onscreen buttons are finger friendly and while
the "pulldown" selections are not, open them with a finger press and use
the joybutton to scroll and select the one you want.
