The new site has been up for a while. http://www.microsoft.com/reader or
http://www.mslit.com either will take you to our updated site.
Sincerely,
Christine - Microsoft Reader Team

Thanks
If memory serves, the new reader site was announced, but was not
accessible and there was no subsequent "heads up" given when that was
(apparently) fixed.
Care to take a moment and discuss why users should upgrade to what
appears to be a really bloated (a 2.5meg pocketpc application!!!)
fwiw, Adobe Reader took a lot of flack because of their 1.6 meg reader

To be more specific, differences between the older and current reader
versions... the posted pages list features and not a comparision to the
older versions other than "improved drm activation"
some specific questions I would have would be;
load time comparison on large books?
time comparison to move from page one to last page of a new large book?
search time comparison for string near end of a large book?
any other formats supported? (i.e. text)

Take note that while the Reader website has been "upgraded" with a new look,
the actual reader *software* is still the same old version that has been
around almost 4 years.
