Hi all,

I would like to create a sdf file (or sdf-to-import file) on my PC.
I aim at creating this files on my PC because the generation take too long
on the PPC
(3 minutes presently, but 1 h 30 for the whole treatment).

I can't use SQL Server for License reasons. So replication from a sql Server
isn't possible.

Is it possible ??
Does anyone has an idea on how do to this ?? Which Tools ??

Is there a type of flat text file ready to be imported in SQL CE ?

thanx in advance for any help

You can create a file, lets say MySDF.sdf file on your
desktop. Then just copy that file over to you device.
Thats all that is need to be down, as long as you have SQL
CE server on your device, it will recognize it. You can
then connect to it and create tables and in your
applications.

Hi Todd,

In fact, what i wish is to fill the database on the desktop
and then copy it to the pocketPC.
I was not clear, I can create the database on the pocketPC and fill it on
the pocketPC but the filling is long.

Thanx for your answer.
