I want to confirm what I know about a particular Windows Mobile
networking is correct or not?
If I want to connect a Windows Mobile device DIRECTLY to internet (not
thru Host PC) thru WIRE, the only way is to have a Mobile Device that
has a slot for compact flash ethernet card and thus connect it to the
internet router/LAN.
OR
Is there a way to connect the USB cable that comes out of the device
to a USB to Ether adapter and go to the internet directly?. If so
doesn't it require a WIndows Mobile driver for that adapter? Is this
even a possibility? are there any providers if its possible?
Thank You for any reply. Appreciate it.

Most Windows Mobile devices do not provide USB host functionality that would
be required to connect to such an adapter.
If your Windows Mobile device actually has USB host functionality, you are
over one hurdle but would still need to find an adapter that included a
Windows CE / Windows Mobile device driver. That is perhaps even more
unlikely than a WM device with USB host.
Hope this helps,

This is correct. There are a small number of devices that also have a
wired ethernet port, but those almost all are industrial type devices.

This isn't generally possible. Almost all Windows Mobile devices act as
a USB client, and you can't hook two USB clients together. I'm not aware
of any consumer-level device that can act as a USB host.
