I upgraded to 3.8 and now, whenever i re-dock my pocket pc, the only items
that initially get synched are Favorites, Pocket Access, Files and AvantGo -
i have to go to Options to select Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, etc each time -
any idea how to fix this?
Thanks

Hi,

Have you tried recreating the partnership? To delete and recreate the
partnership --

1. Disconnect the PPC from the computer.
2. In Activesync -> File -> Delete Partnership.
3. Connect the device and follow the onscreen
instructions to setup a new partnership.

If I do this, would it attempt to re-sync all records?
something happened once and now i have duplicate/triplicate/quadruple
records in outlook and don't want it to happen again.

Yes, ActiveSync will attempt to remap all the data so that both device and
computer are in sync. If you have duplicates or more in Outlook then try
using the following utility on your desktop --

http://www.slipstick.com/files/ODR5.EXE

You will be prompted with the Combine or Replace dialog while setting up the
partnership. More info is available here --

I've tried this a few times - i've had to delete the partnerships a few
times - why does this keep happening.

I was having a similar problem after upgrading to v. 3.8. I had to do a
soft reset every time I placed my Axim X30 in the docking station....very
irritating! However, Raj Pillai's suggestion for recreating the partnership
worked for me. Thanks for the tip, Raj.

I don't know what's up
I deleted the partnership; re-synched; took the pocket pc out of it's cradle
and re-connected it and it's happened again - all the outlook synchs are
gone...
I don't think re-deleting the partnerships each time is the answer, so i'm
wondering if there's something else...

"t" - In reading your description of the steps you took (see your posting
below), I'm not sure that you followed Raj's steps in the order he listed
them. Revisit his suggested sequence of 1,2, & 3 to see if it makes a
difference.

Yes, stealth, I did - even rebooting in between steps 1 and 2; and 2 & 3 -
since this occurred alot, i tried multiple variations to see if it worked.
the only thing i didn't do was re-installed AS 3.8. I ended up dropping my
XV6600 yesterday and breaking it - i'll try again today with another unit.
