Note: I used the DME Analog Recorder to copy a tape to
WMA, when I try to use Audio converter to go from WMA to
MP3 is when I get the error mentioned above.
Thanks to anyone for any support.

I'm running into the same problem. I've installed the Plus DME update
as well as the Audio Converter update. I have the Sonic MP3 converter
on my system, yet I find that I still get the "unrecognized codec"
error when trying to convert from WMA lossless to MP3. I tried
uninstalling/reinstalling Plus DME as well as repairing the MP3
converter install, but still no joy. Does anyone else have
suggestions?

Another friend found the answer for me. It turns out that Plus! DME
won't convert to MP3 until you rip at least one track to MP3 from CD in
Windows Media Player. After that first track is ripped, DME works fine.
This is confirmed on two different machines, both using Plus DME and
the Sonic MP3 plug-in.
I'll add to all of the updates and good hygiene listed above, that I also
installed a patch that is listed by MS as required if you have Media 10 on
your system (which I do)
Has anyone really found out what the deal is here?
