Lost one of my drive.

I installed windows 7 again. But when i selected the drive in which i opted
for the windows installation, i have to format that drive for windows
installation. The installation was completed successfully but when i clicked
' my computer ' i saw that one of my drive(earlier there) was not there. When
i again inserted the windows installation disk and then when it asked to
select a disk in which i wish to install the windows, then there in the list
of drives, that drive was listed which i didn't found earlier when explored '
my computer '. So then i cancelled the installation process and once explored
my computer as i thought that if the disk was there in the list then might be
i found it but the no.
So now what should i do to retreave that drive?
