I am using an ACER Aspire 5632 WLMI, with a NVIDIA Geforce GO700 card;
Operating system XP SP3
When working at home, I was permanently using a secondary display
connected on a VGA port
I work in a coolege. When lecturing my courses, I was using this VGA
port to connect my laptop to a video-projector.
It has worked fine for years.
One morning (over the night), no more display on the secondary monitor.
And no more display on a video-projector.
In fact, that's not totally true: I can display on the 2ndary monitor
once upon 50 times.
Here are my conclusions:
. Very likely the 2ndary monitor, the cable and the driver operate.
. The only thing that could go wrong is the vga port that could have
been damaged by the numerous plug/unplug.
Do you agree? Do you have another opinion?
I am going to lecture my cours abroad next month.
Changing the PC would mean "migrating to W7".
I do not want to change my PC now (it would not be professionnal).
Is there a turn around? E.G. connecting the video-projector on an USB port,
Thanks in advance for your comments
