Have been using the PNRP protocol for years, to publish my
ever-changing ipv6 address of my (and my friends) windows machines,
and mainly use it for remote desktop purposes or sometimes for some
server that is running on the machines (e.g. for smart home).
Meanwhile i am relatively familiar with PNRP and like it.
Hire is the question:
What if someone wants to find my machine by the PNRP name, but that
someone is not on a Windows machine or somehow has no PNRP installed?
Yes i know that pNRP is distributed and sould an does not rely on
something like DNS servers,
but is there a way for someone whose network does not know what PNRP
is, to still resolve a peer name, like
myComputerName.pnrp.net
