As i am greatly enjoying experimenting with IPv6 (in the transition period
often with tunnel protocols),
i often use IPv6 hosts that must be reachable from outside, e.g. for remote
desktop purposes.

The PNRP protocol is a good method of publishing a machine's name without
DNS, in the form

MyMachineName.pnrp.net

and in many cases it works very well, however it does not work on all
configurations.

So i am wondering if there is any relatively easy to use other method of
quickly publishing a machine name,
similar for example to the
DYNDNS service from IPv4.

Does anyone know a good solution?
