Hi,
What are the best MS product(s)/platform(s) to develop IP network
map/display tool. It displays the routers/switches and interconnecting links
based on the attributes (e.g., coordinates of the routers and switches) of
the objects stored in the DB.
The network planner can change the attributes graphically, such as dragging
the router to change the coordinates of the router, change the IP addresses
of the router by drop down menu/window when you click on or point at the
icon of the router, display the router rack when you click on the router
icon. It will then store the updates in the DB when user clicks SAVE button.
Thanks.

Autodiscovery feature is not available in Visio 2003 & 2007. For planning, I
can live w/o auto-discovery (since some network elements are not deployed
yet) as long as it can read information from DB (manually type in) and
display on the screen, allow users to modify and save the update back to DB.
Which feature can I use? Thanks. YT
