Now I've removed the MSXML3 parser and added the latest msxml 4 sp2
parser from msdn.microsoft.com
Now anytime I install I receive the following error message:
Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly
"Microsoft.MSXML2.publicKeyToken="6bd6b9abf345378f",version="4.20.9818.0",type="win32",processorArchitecture="x86".
Please refer to Help and Support for more information.
HRESULT: 0x80070003.
The install is running on xp sp2, running windows installer service
version 3.01, this error occurs w/ and without antivirus and
antispyware running.
ANY HELP PLEASE????
During my installation I install a system driver in a custom action. I
was able to figure out that if I removed the driver, the XML4 parser
install errors went away. I ended up moving the custom action that
installs the driver to the end in the "commit" phase of the
installation. This cleared up my errors. I also spoke with Microsoft
and they indicated this is a know issue and they have a workaround that
involves changing some folder names in the XML merge module.

as I have the same problem right now and cannot find any information about
these directories, could you please tell me, which directories have to be
changed to what?
Thanks in advance

I am currently experiencing exactly the same issue when trying to call a
custom action from a merge module - while installing on Windows XP sp2 with
MSXML3 previously installed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
